Resourcing, analysing, and interpreting the data takes a variety of technical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Delivering the commerciality and relevance of these findings to internal stakeholders requires strong, clear communication skills, and exceptional time management.
Successful business intelligence analysts are able to demonstrate:
High-level reporting skills
Proficiency in analytics software's (including SAP, OBIEE, SiSense, Yellowfin etc)
Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to interpret insight from data trends
High-level written and verbal communication and the ability to simplify and present complex information to a range of stakeholders
High-level problem-solving skills
Excellent time management and the ability to multi-task and prioritise
Exceptional attention to detail
Bachelor degree in business, information technology / systems, statistics, economics, accounting, and management are all relevant fields of study. Higher-level roles may require a Masters degree in business analytics, data analytics, business, and information technology.
