About our Panelists

Luci Caldwell - Product Architect at Aurion

Luci joined the Aurion People & Payroll team in 2021 as a Product Architect. As an integral part of the Software Operations team, she is responsible for the strategy, roadmap and leadership to deliver the next major SaaS Cloud Native People & Payroll Solution project at Aurion. Since taking on a management role, Luci has expanded her focus into facilitating the career growth of others in her team. Her leadership philosophy is to foster a high performance, safe and enjoyable team culture built around learning and continuous improvement.

With over 20 years of experience, Luci has been involved in a variety of diverse roles within the IT industry. From public to private sector, and from consulting through to permanent roles, Luci has gained a well-rounded and thorough knowledge of the IT industry.

She holds qualifications in her field with a Bachelor of Science, with majors in Software Engineering (Systems Modelling) and Earth Sciences (Remote Sensing and GIS) from the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra.

Luci is passionate about system architecture and analysis and enjoys facilitating workshops with a focus on shared understanding and decision making. She is technology focused and enjoys enterprise architecture, data analysis and understanding how system architecture impacts and facilitates business software design.

Jiaranai (Jia) Keatnuxsuo - Solution Architect at Microsoft

Joining Microsoft in 2020, within two years Jia had two promotions and now holds the title Cloud Solution Architect. A tech optimiser, a STEM advocate, and a TEDx Speaker, Jia has multiple feathers in her cap. She is a multi-award winner at the NASA Space App Challenge, Energy Hack, Transport Hack WA and UWA Innovation Challenge. Jia took home the award for Women in Technology Western Australia 2019. Having mentored the younger generation to be curious and excited about the world of STEM, Jia is passionate about bringing people together through Tech.

Jia holds a Master of Information Technology (with Distinction) from The University of Western Australia. She also has a Master of Commerce in Business Information and Logistic Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management.

Jia’s 10 year professional journey was not typical, having dabbled in different worlds at the start of her career from marketing to being a small business owner. It wasn’t until 2018 when she found her passion and her future in Information Technology. Jia has insight into various professional environments from The University of Western Australia to Traffic Guard cyber security software company.

Tara Ahmad – Program/Project Management Consultant currently Senior Project Manager with The Victorian Government

With over 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager across a diversity of industries including private and government sectors, delivering technical and business projects, Tara has a distinct understanding of Project Management and the demands of this role. Having worked on high profile projects for The Victoria Government for almost 3 years, Tara has risen to her leadership position of Senior Project Manager by identifying gaps, offering business transformation solutions, and ensuring the execution of those Change projects within budget while managing stakeholder expectations, and benefits realisation resulting in strategic alignment.

Tara is a Prince2 qualified project manager who also holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology, a Business Administration Certificate from the Australian Institute of Business and a certificate in Enterprise Resource planning (SAP) from Victoria University.

Tara started her career in IT as a tester and slowly progressed into project analysis, business analysis and Program/Project management over a period of 15 years. Her passion for Program/project management, acute attention to detail and collaborative management style has led her into a successful career.
