About the Organisation:
The New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) is looking for an experienced and highly competent Systems Engineer with the necessary ‘tight-lipped’ skills to get amongst enhancing Aotearoa’s national security.

Do you really know your stuff? How about if you have no access to external information and you need to make a critical call? You don’t need to be there yet, but if you desire to be that good, this role will provide you with the experience and support to get there.
- Be a highly skilled and competent engineering expert with the drive to enable the realisation of successful systems
- Be a qualified system engineering professional with significant relevant experience in the IT or Telco industry
- Have exceptional skills and experience in a range of systems and infrastructure management, including Windows and Linux
- Have computer scripting skills e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell scripting languages (desirable)
- Have solid configuration management skills e.g. Ansible (desirable)
- Have an understanding of service management frameworks, such as ITIL (desirable)
- Have experience in the lifecycle management of security and system environments, including design, deployment, implementation, and operational support
- Have proven ability to work independently using sound reasoning and initiative, and collectively within the wider New Zealand Intelligence Community
