The role:
This role sits within an IT Unit that supports many different departments with a range of technology developments, implementations and enhancements. You will be responsible for:
- Designing, implementing and enhancing automated tests.
- Working with testing tools and testing framework in collaboration with the Dev/QA Team.
- Partnering and working closely with the Test and Quality assurance team working on the project to ensure enough test automation coverage.
- Responsible for test automation at all levels including review of the unit tests, building automated functional tests via API and web services and GUI automated testing.
- Further developing and implementing Auto Test disciplines and methodologies for the entire IT unit.
What will make you a success:
- Knowledge of object-oriented design and development using industry recognised tools and techniques.
- Wide-ranging understanding of auto test and test management systems, automation, methodologies, processes and procedures.
- Proven experience in auto test process improvement, selecting and developing automation frameworks.
- Must be able to create high-level test strategy documentation and detailed test documents (e.g. test plans, test requirements (function and condition lists) test scripts, test execution log).
- ISTQB Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst certification is a bonus to have.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
